This photo shoot is an ERIN ASHFORD & MEME Collaboration called “Distant Travelers”. Meme (graffiti Artist) had the idea to capture the extraordinary beauty of the freight trains. As well as tell a story of two different, groups of people with a lot of the same morals and ideas about life. Gypsies and Hobos had an nomadic way of living with the freedom to travel openly. While living only on basics to survive, their friends and family were the their main reason’s for living.
Thanks to Erin Ashford’s amazing talents with photogrhary, we were able to tell our story of the Distant Travelers. Models include: Jenny Looper, Raven Mystique , Nicole Ellsworth and Mj Parr.
Hobo (ethical) code
An ethical code was created by Tourist Union #63 during its 1889 National Hobo Convention in St. Louis Missouri.[13] This code was voted upon as a concrete set of laws to govern the Nation-wide Hobo Body; it reads this way:
Decide your own life, don’t let another person run or rule you.
When in town, always respect the local law and officials, and try to be a gentleman at all times.
Don’t take advantage of someone who is in a vulnerable situation, locals or other hobos.
Always try to find work, even if temporary, and always seek out jobs nobody wants. By doing so you not only help a business along, but ensure employment should you return to that town again.
When no employment is available, make your own work by using your added talents at crafts.
Do not allow yourself to become a stupid drunk and set a bad example for locals’ treatment of other hobos.
When jungling in town, respect handouts, do not wear them out, another hobo will be coming along who will need them as bad, if not worse than you.
Always respect nature, do not leave garbage where you are jungling.
If in a community jungle, always pitch in and help.
Try to stay clean, and boil up wherever possible.
When traveling, ride your train respectfully, take no personal chances, cause no problems with the operating crew or host railroad, act like an extra crew member.
Do not cause problems in a train yard, another hobo will be coming along who will need passage through that yard.
Do not allow other hobos to molest children, expose all molesters to authorities, they are the worst garbage to infest any society.
Help all runaway children, and try to induce them to return home.
Help your fellow hobos whenever and wherever needed, you may need their help someday.
If present at a hobo court and you have testimony, give it. Whether for or against the accused, your voice counts!(Taken from Wikipedia read more HERE).

Gypsy Culture: Every living being has a soul.
Every soul is potentially divine, with innate qualities of infinite knowledge, perception, power, and bliss (masked by its karmas).
Therefore regard every living being as you do yourself, harming no one and being kind to all living beings.
Every soul is born as a heavenly being, human, sub-human or hellish being according to its own karma.
Every soul is the architect of its own life, here or hereafter.
When a soul is freed from karmas, it becomes free and attains divine consciousness, experiencing infinite knowledge, perception, power, and bliss.
Right View, Right Knowledge, and Right Conduct (triple gems of Jainism) provide the way to this realization. There is no supreme divine creator, owner, preserver, or destroyer. The universe is self-regulated, and every soul has the potential to achieve divine consciousness (siddha) through its own efforts. (read more HERE).

Amazing Video coming next week!!
Thankfully by doing this blog we have come across so many amazing people!! This particular person caught our attention by her graffiti name. Thinking to ones self… WOW! she must get a lot of shit for writing that name, she must no give a F%#k ether! But being sarcastic and open minded people we found this to be really cool. We also noticed that she was pretty dang skilled painter too. Sometimes you gotta stop being so serious and lighten up in life, It’s too short to sweat the small shit. Yeah for Pussy!
Hello, my name is “Katherine, I’m from Guadalajara (Spain), I’m 22 years old and I’ve been painting since 2009, but my love for drawing has always been present in my life. I chose the name “PUSSY” because that is what my friends called me for 6 years, so I kept the name. I specialize in murals, but I also love going out bombing, painting whatever, wherever and whenever. Another one of my passions is skateboarding. It is something I have in my life which is equal to my love for graffiti”.
We had the best time ever painting this alley in the Mission District. The neighbors were so thankful gave us food, drinks and smiles. The wind and cold weather was a bit harsh but having positive people showing their love for what we do, made the it so worth while!
Oh and this guy in the hot rod was burning rubber for us!

Photo love : Merlot and Agana!
