Few&Far in Sacramento

6 Oct

We painted an animal rights mural in Sacramento Ca over the weekend of september 28th-30th.

Like many times while painting in public, some strange yet comical things can happen … This scooter gang shows up with a launch ramp, a big metal ring that the scooter guys set on fire at the end of the alley. To top it off with out warning the scooter gang gets naked and start’s jumping their freaking scooters through the Ring “O” Fire!!

It’s never a dull moment with Few&Far.

Artist that painted:
Erin yoshi, Ursula Young, Jenn Ponci, Meme, Ksra, Hops, Reds, Agana, Dime, Merlot, R-Peezy, Megen Devine and Baybay-FNF Khonda TMD.

Winter days.. in the Miami sun shine.

20 Dec

The streets of El Barrio had an electric vibe for Art Basel! In it’s 10th year, the Wynwood Arts District, one of the biggest street art districts in the world, opened it’s walls. To be invited as an artist by the community, thanks to Primary Flight and sponsorship by Ironlak, is a huge responsibility to bring your best self to this historically Puerto Rican neighborhood and breath some positive life into it’s walls. With this in mind, I was open to whomever and whatever I could learn about the district, the Few&Far collective I came with and it’s visitors. Here is what I found..

“Gettin’ it” in Oakland while the game is good!

24 Jun

Welcome to the Few And Far project blog!

This was our 1st  F&F wall, with many more to come! Here are a few progress photos from Oakland.

scaffold_difficultiesDay1:  Some of us turn up at the wall. (Above) Reds, Mags and Meme laughed at how difficult the (construction grade) steel scaffolding looked, scattered on the sidewalk. Meme rented the scaffold, not knowing how heavy duty it really was. Posts, long screws, supports, heavy duty poles of all different sizes, and no instructions… what a mess!
myla_sketch Myla and her million dollar schemes, super fresh!

With a little help, we got the scaffolding up, and Mags went straight to painting with her game face on.

Lady_actionDay2: After massive rain storms, we waited for it to calm down, then started to paint. Everyone kept painting through the cold winds and rain drizzles.
